Minister Kaito condoles

Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): Nagaland Minister G Kaito Aye has mourned the demise of retired Deputy Commandant, BSF Vighoto Swu and Gholuvi Chophy, father of the LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate Zheito Chophy in the recently concluded state assembly elections from the 36 Satakha Assembly Constituency.

In a condolence message, the Minister stated that Chophy, who breathed his last on Sunday, was a “very humble, down to earth gentleman, a loving father and a disciplined leader.” His passing has left a huge vacuum which will be hard to fill but a great life filled with humbleness and humility will be celebrated and fondly cherished, he said.

Vighoto Swu, according to Aye, was a gentleman who dedicated his life to serving the people. Recalling Swu’s active, sincere and trustworthy personality, the Minister stated that “in his demise, we the Sumi people have lost an elder, a father figure; someone we look up to.”

He also offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
