Minister Temjen Imna Along requests special consideration under RUSA 2.0

New Delhi, May 15 (MExN): Nagaland Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, accompanied by State Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) officials held a meeting with Ishita Roy, RUSA Mission Director & Joint Secretary, Higher Education, Ministry of HRD, Prof. Venkatesh Kumar B, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Suman Shukla, Senior Consultant (RUSA) at RUSA Resource Centre, Sri. Ram Centre for Arts & Culture, New Delhi on May 14.  

A press release from PRO (IPR), Nagaland House, New Delhi, Kuolie Mere stated that Minister Temjen Imna Along elaborated his visions for Nagaland as an education and research hub at regional, national and international level. He also highlighted the restraints and challenges faced by the colleges in the State and requested for special consideration under RUSA 2.0.  

The meeting also highlighted various projects that were implemented under RUSA 1.0.  

The ministry officials lauded the Nagaland team for successfully implementing projects under RUSA 1.0 and assured to address the issues of the North East in a special way, according to the release.  

The Nagaland delegation included State Project Director (RUSA), Project Officer (RUSA), three principals of government colleges, and Principal Investigator of RUSA Nagaland, R&I project.
