Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): Nagaland Minister for PWD (Housing & Mechanical) Tongpang Ozukum inaugurated the new EAC quarter at Chuchuyimlang town on October 28.
According to a press release from the minister’s press secretary on Friday, during the inauguration, the Minister expressed gratitude to CAWD Advisor Kazheto Kinimi for his prompt action by approving the construction of residences for officers in an administrative satellite township like Chuchuyimlang town. HE expressed hope that with the construction of the new quarter, the administrators will stay in station and offer better services to the people. He also asked the public to give their support to the administrators so that the concerned officers and administrative staff can perform their duties efficiently, the release stated.
“He also stated that the upgradation of EAC head quarter of Chuchuyimlang town to SDO(C) will become a reality as long as the public of the area, especially the landowners are open-minded to welcome the various developmental projects and work hand in hand with the government of the day,” the release stated.
Earlier, the inaugural programme was chaired by Merenjung, Associate Pastor, Youth, Chuchu Town Baptist Church while Executive Engineer CAWD Sungtiba Amer gave a technical report about the building.
Short speeches were also delivered by the contractors, Adhoc urban station committee, Chuchu town and Chuchuyimlang Village Council and the vote of thanks was delivered by Limakumla Pongener, EAC Chuchuyimlang, the release stated.
