Misappropriation of funds under PHED was highlighted through various local medias dated 14th September by Tuensang District Mothers’ Mothers Association (TDMA) and also reported to the government of Nagaland, time and time again, but till date no action appears to have been taken in the department. Even on 12th August a representation was submitted to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and a copy enclosed to the Chief Secretary for misappropriation of more than twenty crores of rupees by the Chief Engineer PHED Government of Nagaland and followed by a reminder dated on 27th August. However, instead of taking necessary actions the said documents were just handed over to the Chief Engineer and till date there has been no result. Such attitude of the authority clearly indicates that even higher ups in the department are involved in this misappropriation case. Therefore all concerned citizens must come forward and look that this kind of unbelievable corruption is rooted out from Nagaland.
