Miss India Elite joins medical camp in Nagaland

Dimapur, May 5 (DIPR): The Young Naga Personalities (YNP) has taken the initiative for a social cause by organising a free medical camp on May 5 at half Nagarjan Indoor Badminton Stadium, at the ongoing Victor 1st NE Badminton Championship.   Reigning Miss India Elite, Dr. Priyadarshini Bora who is the first beauty pageant in India working as a professional doctor came all the way from Guwahati to be part  of the medical camp organised by YNP and treated several patients. Dr. Priya said that she was excited to be part of the medical camp and agreed to come to Nagaland without a second thought when the Naga beauty queen Imtibenla conveyed to her the message of the free medical camp to be conducted by YNP. The 25 year old beauty queen Dr. Priya expressed that she wanted to work for a social cause to give more meaning to being a beauty queen with a purpose.   During the medical camp, patients both young and old were treated and medicines distributed free of cost. Tooth brushes and dental gels were also distributed free of cost.   Besides Dr. Priya; Doctors who took part in the free medical camp were Dr. Temjennungsang Longchari (Recipient of Indian Health Professional Award 2016; Best practicing dentist of the year) Dr. Tiatula Longkumer (MPT Neurology) Dr. Thungbemo Humtsoe MBBS, Dr. Kihoto DNB, surgery, Dr. Abangdi Changkiri MBBS General Practitioner.   Of late the YNP comprising of 19 members which was formed during March 2017 along with beauty queen Imtibenla has ventured into many areas including Futsal match; Penalty shootout and the present medical camp benefiting all sections of the society.   A member of YNP, Vicato Aye informed that a general meeting of the members has been slated tomorrow where various agendas helpful for the Naga society would be deliberated upon. The members are drawn from various fields including musicians, footballers, social workers; doctors etc.
