Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): Reigning Miss Nagaland Vikuonuo Sachu completed her project titled ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ with the theme ‘Livelihood Generation and Education’ by covering all the 12 districts of Nagaland. The project aimed to cover 12 districts of Nagaland, giving the opportunity to ‘Reconnect with the Roots.’
Vikuonuo Sachu said that the objective to cover the 12 districts of Nagaland was to promote Culture, history and diversity of Nagaland. She said that under this project it upheld ‘Good Will Charity Program’ extending help and support to Senior citizens and Lactating mothers of infant babies.
She added that by Collaborating with all the district administration, the project was advocated on COVID-19 Vaccination in remote parts of Nagaland for the welfare of the health strategy in our State.
Sachu said, “Given the tag to its various districts from, ‘The Land of Plenty to The Land of Traditions to The Land of Virgin Forest’ and many more, Nagaland is excessively blessed with numerous of astonishing history, magnificent culture and traditions and surrounded with spectacular flora and fauna and reminded that today Nagaland has more than thousands of farmers and street vendors who still keep alive the spirit of the essence of Agriculture in Nagaland.”
According to Sachu, Agriculture being the main occupation of Nagas, have been neglected over quite some time. “We have certainly refused to build up our farmers and practiced ‘Made in Nagaland’ in a very small-scale,” She observed.
