Miss Sumi 2016: Contestants brace for pageant

In a bid to brace contestants of the Miss Sumi 2016, the 17 participating contestants were provided counselling sessions on Medical, Legal, Spiritual and Social aspects on November 5 at Hotel Acacia.   Resource persons for the day included: Dr. Nikishe Awomi, Consultant, Surgeon Dimapur Hospital; Esther K. Aye, Legal Counsellor cum Trainer, NSLSA; Anshely Sumi, Director, Aloino Centre, Chekiye; and Zhekheli Zhimo.   Contestants also got a surprise visit from the Nagaland State Disability Forum and had a healthy interaction with them.   Later in the evening, Parliamentary Secretary, Jacob Zhimomi hosted an entertainment session and dinner for the contestants and organizers at Bambusa, Dimapur.   On Sunday, the contestants held a devotional prayer service at Dimapur Sumi Baptist Akukuhou.   In the evening, an entertainment session and dinner was hosted by DCCI President, Hokivi Chishi at Hotel Acacia. In his speech, Hokivi encouraged the contestants to be sincere in their endeavours and use their beauty and talents for glorifying the name of the Lord.
