Is not Right to Freedom of speech a fundamental right for a student of 17 years? If not then, 'Is the fundamental right only for elders? On my previous article MISSION POTHOLE which was published on August 27. I was widely criticized by the members of the strongest group of Nagaland. The Naga Blog for voicing my views against the MISSION POTHOLE. Can't I share my views in the paper? If voicing our views is an offence than I as a 17 year old student would approach the court for my Fundamental Right to speech.
In the evening of August 27 the Naga Blog was having a hot debate against me for my article. I was unaware until night, and then a friend of mine showed me my article which created uproar in the group. As soon as I saw, I logged in my account to see what was wrong in my article? But to my astonishment the able administrators of the reputed, hardworking and honest NAGA BLOG kicked me out of the group!
My Question to the administrator is “Is the Naga Communist or Democratic Group?’” If they say Democratic then I have the right to ask, why was I remove from the group the very day my article was published? Was it for my voice? The Whole evening I had to browse from my mates’ account and check out the comments I got from the bloggers of which my article was put up by one of the bloggers. I did never expect the elders and the so called educated member freaks criticizing a student for his thoughts against a Mission. No doubt, they knew more than me and they had more experience than me but the comments which were commented from the so called learned adults were worth disappointing out of whom many are feeding their own stomach!
Many I hope dint read the article properly. They just started blaming me with a blind eye from their worthy friends comments! An article is not from which a student wants to gain popularity or fame it’s just a view to what a student’s thinks. How could they even think a student would write an article for popularity? The article described what I felt. Nothing in the universe comes easily. You have to take the pain for it. Dear bloggers read the article properly and then comment. I did not say those who worked truly as “rotten potatoes” but the ones who worked for fame and attention.
“Should I be beaten up for my voice?” some bloggers mentioned I should be knocked down my teeth through my throat etc. My question is you and me of the same age and mentality? Bloggers sorry I don’t support any political party I don’t even know what is done in politics! Forget political party! I dint intend for arguments I wrote what I felt and nothing else. For if, all the bloggers think they are doing a great job than continue ahead! But do let me know when the Government wakes up truly from their deep slumber? Many bloggers who are against the Government to whom you yourself gave your precious vote and elected in the previous general election do wake up in the coming general election. The bloggers talked very much about the road but did you ever take care of the road when it was made? Washing of cars reckless, driving all goes trough without any care and then we blame the government they dint make the road properly. I do agree sometimes it’s because of the government negligence but I hope it won’t be every time?
“A hungry man is an angry man” I hope all the bloggers against me read the quotation. So let me tell an instance, a couple of weeks back, Peren was left abandoned from the rest of the state because a bridge just near the Main Gate of the School (Sainik) broke down. You will be surprised to know how the Cadets have suffered for weeks without proper rations and diets from our daily menu. Be happy you had a bumping road but at least you had the basic amenities on time.
I myself wrote an open letter to the Chief Minister and the concerned department but the solution remained blank. The only option left was to make an alternative of the bridge. Our students had to put out our effort wasting a whole of a working day making an alternative of the bridge under the banner “Self Help Is the Best Help”.(ref. July 7, state daily) Imagine a class sixth standard cadet working for the welfare of the common people. What was the need? We could have waited knowing that the Chief Minister and other VIPs of the state are themselves an alumnus of Sainik Schools.
We could have protested against the government. Keeping in mind that protest is not a positive turn out of an educated citizen we choose to bring make examples and show it to the government. And the government truly made a response. As of now the bridge is under care is being renovated. “That self help” seemed to have caught the attention of the department and not “Mission Pothole”!!
Thank you Yanpho Kikon for you A to Z and Alpha and Omega of mission pothole at least we younger generations know something on what you and your Naga Blog are fighting for after being criticized. Why only after it? Why not before?
My dear request to all the bloggers, "Think twice before you act" I wrote what i felt I didn't write against anyone personally unlike (Kevin Naga, Raithiu Newmai and other bloggers against me).
At last I would like to put a simple question to the Naga blog and the bloggers there "I was criticized, blamed even some said I should be bashed up with their personal quote against me but what would the bloggers do if the same question was asked by a VIP,an IAS officer, a known entrepreneur etc. Would you criticize him and attack personally with the comments which I got? I hope certainly not! I was a student an a kid so you gave comments what you wanted but think over it! I am a common man and you too! So why create hatred instead of working together? Lets bring the Change if you cant too.
“If we cannot be the change, we can be the cause for the Change” and "God help those who work themselves"
