MITE creates awareness on AYUSH

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The Modern Institute of Teacher Education, Kohima organized an outreach activity for creating awareness on AYUSH to Nerhema village community on September 10. 

According to Dr Velankanni Alex, the coordinator of the Outreach and Extension activities, the activity was organized to enable the student-teachers to develop awareness on the engage in community service and social responsibility, a press release informed on Sunday 

A total of 100 student-teachers of the 1st Semester were part of the activity. They were divided into four groups and participated in a creating awareness on AYUSH, the release stated.

Nerhema community also interacted with students and they were asked many questions to student-teachers about AYUSH and student-teachers played a skit on AYUSH.

 After the awareness programme,  Nerhema Village Council President, Student Union Members and Youth Organization Members had a meeting with faculty and student-teachers about AYUSH and general problems in Nerhema village, the release stated.

Dr R Udhaya Mohan Babu, faculty from the MITEwas actively involved in the programme and also motivated the community people on health. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by coordinator of the programme, the release stated.
