MITE Kohima celebrated its 12th foundation-cum-cultural day and observation of National Science Day on March 4.
Kohima, March 4 (MExN): The Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) celebrated its 12th foundation-cum-cultural day and observation of National Science Day on March 4.
A press release received here stated that Dr Nishini Hekha, Consultant at Department of Radiology, Zion Hospital, Dimapur; Teaching Consultant at CIHSR (Referral Hospital), Dimapur; and Governing Body Member, MITE, Kohima graced the function as special guest. Dr Hekha advised student-teachers to be careful to choose a specialisation. He mentioned that good relationships, values, and passion are very important in life. He said that hard work, commitment, and efforts are very important in student life and also we need to think about our future aspirations and strive for excellence.
The significance of Foundation Day was shared by Dr Kate Dandesh Kumar, Principal MITE. He mentioned that the founder Late Dr S Hekha Mao had a vision of imparting such high-quality education to student teachers. Without his vision, mission, motto, and values, this institute would not have become what it is today.
The Student-Teachers performed cultural show, folk dance, documentary display, glimpse of science, essence of cultural day, and National Science Day.
