Mizoram journalists visit ARTC&S Sukhovi

Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): A group of vernacular journalists of Mizoram which is on an excursion tour  sponsored by DGAR under a military civic action programme of 23 Sector Assam Rifles visited ARTC & S, Sukhovi on February 10. A note received here stated that these journalists starting from Aizwal, have travelled Serchip, Silchar, Imphal, Kohima, Dimapur and will continue journey to Guwahati, Shillong, Cherapunji and back to Aizwal. The delegation have visited and stayed at many AR camps enroute and interacted with AR officers and soldiers.
Brigadier Vijay Singh, SM, Commandant ARTC & S interacted with journalists and had tea with them.  The group was given a briefing about the role and functions of ARTC & S by Colonel K K Arun, SM, Deputy Commandant of ARTC & S.  Later on they were also taken to the training area where Captain Abhishek Jog, SM briefed them about the training being imparted to the soldiers. The journalists also visited the AR Museum and were astonished to see the historical and cultural trust of AR about the North Eastern tribes.  In the evening, journalists left for Guwahati as per their tour programme which will conclude at Aizwal on February 14.
