Maligaon, August 25 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced additional changes in train services as restoration work continues near New Harangajao station following the settlement of railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2.
Train operations over the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section are currently being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures in place, the NFR informed.
In view of the ongoing restoration work, Train No. 15617 Guwahati–Dullabcherra Express scheduled to commence its journey on August 26 has been cancelled, along with Train No. 15618 Dullabcherra–Guwahati Express scheduled for August 27.
Similarly, Train No. 15615 Guwahati–Silchar Express commencing its journey on August 26 and Train No. 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express commencing its journey on August 27 have also been cancelled.
Meanwhile, Train No. 15650 Narangi–Agartala Express, scheduled to commence its journey on August 26, has been rescheduled to depart from Narangi at 6:30 pm.
Train No. 15646 Silchar–Charlapalli Express commencing its journey on August 26 has also been rescheduled and will depart from Silchar at 10:10 pm.
The NFR stated that train operations in the affected hill section are being maintained through Line-3 as restoration work continues.
