Mokokchung, March 1 (MExN): District Development Coordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held at the Conference Hall, Hotel Whispering Winds, Mokokchung on March 1. Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Tokheho Yepthomi and Minister, Metsubo Jamir attended the meeting.
The meeting was held to review the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes by different Departments in the District that come under the purview of DISHA, stated a DIPR report.
The following Departments implementing various Central Schemes gave PowerPoint Presentations: Rural development, Agriculture, Health and Family Welfare, Education, Mokokchung Municipal Council, Tuli Town council, Mangkolemba town Council, PHED, Social Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies, PWD (R & B).
The MP said that the remaining Departments- Land Resources, Water Resources, Urban Development ITI, LRSO, District Industries Centre, Manager Lead Bank, and DLCW – Mahila Shakti Kendra would be reviewed in the next meeting.
In his concluding remarks, Tokheho Yepthomi asked the District HODs to come up with proposals so that the requirement of the District is achieved. Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Limawapang Jamir proposed the vote of thanks.
