Mokokchung, October 18 (MExN): The Department of Agriculture under the programme - Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North East Region (MOVCDNER) organized the inaugural meeting for Mokokchung Organic Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd. in the District Agriculture Office Mokokchung.
Representatives from all the selected villages attended and elected the Board of Directors in the presence of Nungsangkaba, DAO, Mokokchung, Temsuienla Dy. DAO, I. Lipokonen SDAO and Lipoktangit Sr. Inspector ARCS Mokokchung. Imtimar was elected Chairman, M. ChubaImsong as V. Chairman and Akangnungsang –Secretary.
The society decided to collect Rs. 50 per member as admission fee and Rs. 500 per share. However a member can buy upto a maximum of 50 shares.
The Mokokchung Organic Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd has moved from registration in the Cooperative Society through the ARCS Mokokchung.
