MLA Jwenga Seb assures progressive, transformative, resilient community

Kohima, April 2 (MExN): A thanksgiving programme in honour of the electorates, friends and well- wishers of MLA Jwenga Seb from 12-Tseminyu A/C was held on March 31 at TLBC Convention Ground at Tesophenyu.

Addressing the gathering, Seb stated that it was not because of good political strategy or money power and might but by the grace and providence of God, he got elected to the 14th house of Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

He thanked and credited the electors of the constituency for the victory and expressed that it is not his personal victory but a shared victory through the joint efforts and sacrifices of all party workers, electorates as well as those who worked endlessly behind the scene including the prayers and cries of many.

He assured that he will keep his words and promises as expressed during the election campaign and in his election manifesto for a progressive, transformative and resilient community.

He reiterated the need and commitment to make Tseminyu a model district, beginning with the principles of equitable and proportionate development.
 
‘Remain united, disciplined, accommodative’
Seb called upon the gathering and the community to remain united, disciplined, accommodative and patient in the shared dreams, aspirations and endeavours “towards achieving our goals.”

The MLA expressed happiness to be part of the ruling government with the JD (U) onboard in the coalition and expressed gratitude and faith in the leadership of the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

Also expressing hope in the Chief Minister to be considerate and supportive towards the shared dream and efforts in making Tseminyu a model district, Seb also thanked the Chief Minister for bestowing him the responsibility of Tseminyu DPDB chairman.

Khinyi Woch, Timothy Thong, Anilo Rengma, Rusilo Tep and Phayalo Magh also spoke at the programme.

The programme also witnessed songs from Tesophenyu group, Obed Kath and Keziah Semy.

The programme was chaired by Er. Tesinlo Semy while Senshweni Seb invoked God’s blessing.

JD (U) Tseminyu unit president Wekhenu Mesen delivered welcome address.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Phanishe Chung, president, Tesophenyu Group Public Union (Central) followed by mass prayer of thanksgiving and thanksgiving feast blessed by Shentheyi Kath.
