A thanksgiving cum felicitation programme in honour of C Kipili Sangtam, MLA 59 Seyochung-Sitimi AC was held at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire on April 15.
Stressing on the need to work together in unity, irrespective of political affiliation, the MLA said, “All differences must be set aside in the greater interest of the constituency.” Promising new system of administration in accordance with the people's will, he said, “Responsibilities will be given based on one's capabilities and not base on gender.”
Kipili said, “To do good there is no gender restriction” and therefore, “all man and woman should join hand to work for development of the area. Nepotism and favoritism should be completed erased from every mind and to work together as per the government norms.”
Earlier, Kipili thanked God and expressed his gratitude to the voters of 59 AC for electing him again to represent the constituency. He further appealed the electorate to extend support and cooperation to develop 59 AC and Kiphire district in general.
