Modern College, Piphema conducted ‘The Stage: A Multi Talent Show’ jointly organized by the department of History and Economics on April 1 at its Indoor Stadium-cum –Auditorium.
30 students competed for the winning title, showcasing diverse talents ranging from singing, dancing to stand-ups.
John Besü, Administrator, while exhorting the students stressed on the importance of identifying ones naturally gifted talents and said those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened makes all the difference.
After a vetting by a four judge panel, Leiwang Konyak of 6th Semester was adjudged the winner and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1000 with certificate. Imliwapang Imsongof 2nd Semester bagged the first Runner-Up and awarded with a cash prize of Rs 700 along with certificate, while Beyau K and Langpong Konyakboth from 4th Semester performing in the name of White Anyak bagged the Second-Runner-Up award and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 500 and certificate.
The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks by Verahu Neinu, Asst Prof, Department of Sociology.
