Kohima, February 25 (MExN): The Cultural & Literary and Sports & Fitness Club of Modern College, Piphema organised a four-day college week from February 21 to 24.
The opening day witnessed various cultural shows showcased by students. Day-two witnessed the inaugural ceremony of sports held in the indoor stadium with CH Jacob, Lieutenant Colonel, Second in Command, 7 Assam Rifles as chief guest. The chief guest not only exhorted the students but also donated sports equipment, stated a press release received here.
Oath Taking was administered by Vizosietuo Tepa, Games and Sports Secretary, MCSU. The event included indoor games, track and field events, basketball, volleyball, football, penalty shootout and arm wrestling.
Vivohoto Sothu and Phamsa Konyak were awarded MVP in men and women category respectively while House of Hekha was declared group champion.
