Mokokchung: 25 PwDs receive COVID jabs during special drive

Mokokchung District Task Force COVID-19 Vaccine launched a two-day special vaccination drive on June 16 for 45 years and above and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in all the 18 wards under Mokokchung Municipal Council and neighboring villages of Mokokchung and Chuchuyimpang. 

Speaking to media persons, DTF Mokokchung Nodal Officer for COVID-19 vaccination, Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (Civil) Mokokchung informed that on Wednesday, a total of 554 beneficiaries which included 25 PwDs were vaccinated.

He said that similar special vaccination drives will be carried out for frontline workers, healthcare workers and people with special needs in the coming days. 

Ozukum also thanked all the Heads of Offices under Mokokchung district and the All Ward Union, Mokokchung Town for providing volunteers and logistic support toward the special vaccination drive. 

The next special drive will be conducted on June 18. Meanwhile the vaccination drive for the entire district is being carried across various CHC, PHCs, HWCs and SCs in the district. As per the information from the Government of India Cowindash board a total of 38,327 vaccine doses have been administered in Mokokchung district till date.
