Mokokchung, March 14 (MExN): In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha election on April 9, Deputy Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer (DC & ARO) Mokokchung has stated, it has become urgent to appoint nodal officers under each department who will liaise with the DC & ARO in all election related matters, especially with regard to polling and counting personnel. Therefore, all heads of offices in the district have been directed to nominate one responsible official for the purpose immediately and submit the name and designation with contact number of the official to DC & ARO Mokochung on or before March 18, without fail.
The DC further directed all officers and staff to remain in station/ place of posting till the process of election is completed. Outstation leave on medical/ official ground, if any, shall be availed only after getting due approval of the DC & ARO. No separate order will be issued in this regard, the DC said.
