Mokokchung, September 17 (MExN): A District Review Meeting of the Department of Health & Family Welfare was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Sentizungla Marina Yaden on September 16.
In her welcome address, Dr Yaden emphasized that the meeting was a vital opportunity to assess progress on health indicators, identify bottlenecks at the block level, and strategize a collaborative, data-driven way forward. She applauded the medical team for their tireless service in the district's challenging terrain, stating that their dedication at the grass root level is the foundation.
Dr MAM Azhar, Senior Medical Officer from the World Health Organization (WHO), highlighted that Mokokchung's status as a GAVI district focuses the WHO office's work on routine immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases.
Block Programme Managers from Ongpangkong, Changtongya, Tuli, Tsurangkong, Mangkolemba, and Alongkima presented reports on their respective performances. Presentations were also made by the coordinators for TATTVA and UWIN on their activities and achievements in the district.
The meeting was attended by Programme Officers, Medical Officers, and CMO staff, with Dr. Limanaro, the District Programme Officer (UIP/RCH), moderating the proceedings.
