Mokokchung Municipal Council administrator informs

Mokokchung, April 19 (DIPR): Additional Deputy Commissioner & Administrator of Mokokchung Municipal Council, Bendanglila has informed all Residential Permit Holders to renew their permit within the month of the expiry of their respective validity, failing which, a late fine of Rs.50 will be imposed for every period of late renewal.   It was also informed that for construction of building within the Municipal area, irrespective of government departments or private, construction permit should be obtained from MMC. All electrical shops within MMC jurisdiction have also been directed not to sell sub-standard electrical wire, gadgets and productive devices/MCBs etc. Surprise checking of the shops will be conducted jointly by the power department and MMC. The order shall come into effect immediately and shall remain till further orders.

  Meanwhile, the MMC administrator appealed to all the residents of Mokokchung Town not to throw garbage and solid waste into the culvert/drains. With the onsets of monsoon, the town has witnessed maximum of blocked drains and culverts within the last few weeks, which will trigger landslides and erosion and may even lead to massive disaster, she stated. She requested all the responsible residents to dump all solid waste into the designated dumping area/boxes only.
