Mokokchung, June 7 (MExN): The Mokokchung Press Club marked its 18th Foundation Day by planting cherry blossom saplings along the NH-702D (Mongsenbai Road) stretch in Mokokchung town, continuing a beautification initiative that began in 2018.
As part of the observance held on June 7, members of the club planted saplings along the highway stretch with the objective of promoting environmental conservation and enhancing the visual appeal of the largely deserted road section.
The initiative aims to make the area greener while creating greater public awareness about environmental conservation and urban beautification in Mokokchung, the MPC stated.
