
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): BJP National Vice President, M Chuba Ao on Wednesday termed it a joyful moment for the BJP and the thousands of Karyakartas for registering a convincing victory in the assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. It also considered the BJP’s performance in Mizoram and Telangana as fairly good, despite being not a key player.
In a press release, Ao stated that the BJP's success in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh needs to be celebrated in a grand manner as in the process, the party have “retained control over the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and have been able to humble Congress in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.”
While the BJP footprints under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guided by Amit Shah and J P Nadda have increased nationwide, Ao said the Congress is now reduced to only three states of Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana.
In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP managed a record victory winning 163 seats in the 230-memberassembly. The BJP National Vice President credited the success to the party's disciplined and selfless party workers and also to the good works and political acumen of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Also welcoming the party's victories in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, Ao complimented the two National Vice Presidents and colleagues- Dr Raman Singh for Chhattisgarh and Vasundhara Raje from Rajasthan for being part of the party machine to achieve our mission.
