Mon, September 8 (MExN): The District Health Society, Mon held its review meeting at DH Conference Hall, Mon on September 8. During the meeting, Dr Vezokholu Theyo, CMO, Mon reminded on the mission which is to provide accessible, affordable and quality health care to the population at the grassroot level.
The CMO Mon office in a press release stated that Dr Vezokholu said, ‘one of the tools to indicate the mission being implemented successfully is through reporting system.’ She mentioned that the district fails to report in a timely manner.
She added that the Health Management Information System (HMIS portal) needs to be taken much importance with quality reporting as the district ranking will wholly depend on the key performance indicators which are in the HMIS reporting system. Concerning Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND), the district has ranked in a good position in regard to collaboration with the Anganwadi Workers of social welfare department, said Dr Theyo while appreciating the Health workers.
PowerPoint presentation was done by Block Programme Managers (BPM) on the 1st quarter FY 2022-2023 HMIS and issues and challenges faced by each blocks. Vertical programmes of the department National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), Mental Health, Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), Adolescent Reproduction & Sexual Health (ARSH), School Health and National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) also gave a presentation on their performances and briefed on their programmes.
Analysing on the report presentation of all the blocks, discussion hour was held led by CMO, Dy CMO, MOs and DPM of the District.
The meeting started with an invocation prayer by David Konyak, Chaplin DH, Mon. Chairing the meeting, Deputy CMO, Dr Rongsennungla Ao appreciated the newly appointed CMO for her immense knowledge and experience in the field of Health Department. She also highlighted the agendas of the meeting to be discussed thoroughly. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Moie Bonnie Konyak, District Programme Manager, Mon.
