Mon COVID-19 vaccination: Mon registers 1397 beneficiaries

Mon, January 16 (MExN): During the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination, a total of 1397 beneficiaries were registered in Mon district where Dr Aman Konyak was the first to be vaccinated during the launching programme of the COVID-19 vaccination on January 16. 

A DIPR report stated that Advisor, Fire & Emergency Services, SIRD, Relief and Rehabilitation, Pohwang Konyak launched the COVID-19 vaccination by thanking all the stakeholders including the District Level Task Force headed by Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS, Superintendent of Police, Mon, Medical Department and to all the frontline workers for their proactive, commendable job and valuable service rendered.

MLA and Chairman DPDB Mon, Thongwang today urged all health care workers, frontline workers and the beneficiaries of the COVID-19 vaccination “not to fear but instead come forward and show the gateway to all the general public to be vaccinated.” 

The programme was chaired by Dr Shasinle Tep, DPO (UIP&RCH) Mon. Welcome address and keynote address was delivered by Dr Kechongol Sophie, CMO Mon and DC Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS Mon respectively.
