Mon district initiates steps to facilitate contact tracing

Mon, July 21 (MExN): Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that in order to facilitated contact tracing of persons affected with COVID-19 in the near future, the concerned family or organisers should mandatorily maintain a register with records of visitors and guests attending any kinds of gathering such as marriages, funerals, prayer meetings, baby christening functions, etc within Mon district.

The notice directed the following: 

1.    Register should contain date wise information with name, address and contact number of the visitors/guests.

2.    Prior permission of the district administration should be sought for any such gathering. After the events, the register should be submitted to the DC /ADC /SDO (civil) /EAC office.

3.    Prior information for such gathering should be given to the respective ward task forces/village task forces.

4.    The respective ward task forces/village task forces must ensure strict enforcement of the order and will be responsible for its monitoring & implementation.

Any person violating the measures will be liable to be proceeded as per provisions of the section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under section 188 of the IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.
