Mon District Planning and Development Board meeting held

Mon, July 17 (MExN): Mon District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mankhao Konyak, MLA & DPDB Chairman, Mon at DC’s conference hall, Mon on July 17. 

As per the DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner, Mon and Vice Chairman, DPDB, Mon,  Wennyei Konyak, NCS presided over the proceeding, and welcome the DPDB Chairman, members called upon the new members for self introduction, wherein the following members introduced themselves to the board - Meyisusu Jamir, District Public Relations Officer, Mon; Dr Tialila, Principal Wangkhao Government College; Dr Achumi Ezung, Principal New Modern College, Wakching; Temsu Toshi, District Agriculture Officer, Mon.

After reviewing last meeting minutes, DC opened the floor for discussion of new agendas. The house was discussed on Entrepreneur Association Mon, registration and forwarded to the higher authority for approval. The house also discussed the construction of new Mon HQ to Loipuho (Lower Tiru) Oting Village (42 KM) under PMGSY.

Finance Secretary of Officer Club Mon (OCM) gave a brief description of OCM and a report of the last Departmental Tournament organised by the OCM.

Deputy Commissioner, Mon, discussed the Mon District Football Association. He suggested some helping hands as they are representing our district in the coming Dr. T. Ao Trophy which is going to be held from August 1 to 15 at Kohima.

The Agriculture Department gave a PowerPoint presentation on the department activities in the district.
