Mon, May 17 (DIPR): District Planning and Development Board meeting of Mon district for the month of May was held on May 16 with ADC, Mon MA Shihab Ali (IAS) as the chairman.
After reviewing previous meeting minutes the chairman deliberated on the letter received from the Eastern Naga Student's Federation requesting for cooperation and assistance for the ENSF general session to be held on July 26 to 29 scheduled at Mon, in receiving the guest, maintaining law and order, maintenance of road, power, water supply, constructions of Hall and a request to all the HOD's of all concern departments to come forward in extending a helping hand for the success of the upcoming session.
Deputy District Education Officer gave a report of HSLC and HSSLC results of Mon district which indicated poor performance this year. He also pointed out the shortage of teachers in Government Institutions. Therefore the house decided to retain all the committee members selected in last year's DPDB meeting of May to check such problem facing in the educational section.
The house also approved for opening of new school in Aboi Town as Little Flower School.
