Mon, November 15 (DIPR): The monthly Mon District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on November 15 at DC conference hall here with Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Mon, Kumar Ramnikant (IAS) as the chairperson.
The board approved change of nomenclature of Noel School to East Ward School, Mon Town and decided to forward to the department concerned for approval. The Mon DPDB also approved the development of new parking area at DC office complex, Mon. In this regard, SDO (Civil) Mon, Ilika Zhimomi (NCS) explained the details of the areas and structures of the parking site.
Alonse, Principal, Industrial Training Institute, Mon and Co-Convenor of 6th Inter Departmental Tournament 2017 presented a brief report on behalf of the organising committee, Officers’ Club, Mon. The tournament was held from November 8 to 10. He thanked all the departments for successful conduct of the tournament.
Y. Bongti Konyak, District Horticulture Officer, Mon gave a PowerPoint presentation on major activities undertaken under Horticulture in Mon district during 2016–2017, specially emphasizing on Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).
