MON, JUNE 16 (MExN): Mon District Planning & Development Board meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, Mon on June 14. Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, DPDP, Ajit Kumar Verma, chaired the Programme. The meeting commenced with a welcome note from the chair followed by self-introduction by the new members and review of the last DPDP meeting minutes.
The house discussed on the agendas for recognition of Hill Star School, Sheanghah Tangten Village and registration of Mankup Memorial Foundation. After a brief deliberation, the house decided to forward the application to the concerned department for approval.
The board also felicitated the medalists and winners of Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024 from the district, where the Deputy Commissioner gave away the certificates. Nyamok Konyak apprised the board that Mon district was in the 10th position in the medal tally with 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 12 Bronze. Principal, New Model College, Wakching and Agri & Soil Department gave power point presentations.
