Mon, December 6 (MExN): The Mon Electrical Division stated today that with the festive season approaching, public distribution transformers would face immense pressure due to overloading and urged for prudent power consumption. Accordingly, it urged consumers and the general public in Mon district to refrain from using high-power-consuming lights for decorations, as well as incandescent bulbs, coil heaters, and boilers. A press release from Er K Tingtenmoie Konyak, Executive Engineer of Mon Electrical Division, emphasized opting for LED bulbs and genuine energy-saving electrical appliances to ensure a stable power supply. He further conveyed that the department is working round the clock to provide uninterrupted power supply to the extent possible and requested cooperation from all concerned.
