Monitoring team visit health units under Kiphire dist

Kiphire, October 20 (MExN): State monitoring team comprising of 12 members spearheaded by Dr. Limaakum Jamir, Mission Director, NHM visited 17 health units under Kiphire District from October 17 to 20 in view of the forthcoming 11th Common Review Mission (CRM).  

During the monitoring, the team verified and updated all registers, drugs stocks and equipments were checked and shortages were noted to be forwarded, IEC materials were supplied and supervised to be pasted in appropriate places, deep burial for waste management was supervised and brief interactions with the beneficiaries in different villages were carried out. The staffs were also directed to maintain upto date data in all the registers henceforth. Grievances of the health workers in hard to reach areas were also noted.  

The team presented their findings and observations on the performance of the district on 20th October at Tsatongse Guest House, Kiphire. Appreciating the efforts of the district, Dr. Limaakum, Mission Director, NHM said, “Let it not be the end but let it be a continuous process.” Discussing the areas in which improvements are required in the district he added, “Gone are those days of loopholes, in this digital era, let us maintain good services.” The team also brought forward all the weak components of the health units and directed the district to supervise vigorously for the smooth functioning of the department. ANC quality was emphasized to be kept well focussed and refined. Besides, all pass books of the health units were directed to be updated and a copy of sanction order list to be given to the same.  

As per the directives of the CMO wherein leave for staffs were withheld till the visit of the CRM, it may be noted that during the visit all staffs were present in their respective stations inspite of a government holiday on 19th October.  

The other officials of the state team included Dr. Thanghoi Lam, SPO, NHM, Dr. Bendangla, SPO, RCH, Shri Pairson, state RMNCH+A Co-ordinator, Dr. Longri Kichu, state RMNCH+A Co-ordinator, Vizalenu Khatso, PM(RBSK), Ketoulhoubei-u Rita , PM (RBSK), Benjungtoshi , PM-CH, C. Abeni, APM(MCTS), Kewetso Kenye, PA Finance, Diti Mero, PA IEC/BCC and Jean Kath, FWA. It may also be noted that an extensive District monitoring was carried out in Kiphire Sadar on October 16 and 17 and will continue in all the health units till the CRM visit.
