Peren, November 7 (DIPR): The monthly Peren DPDB meeting was held on November 7. Vice Chairman of the DPDB and DC, Zarenthung Ezung welcomed all the members present and newly posted officers, namely DPO, Land Resources, Puthuto Natso, Imliwapang Imchen, GM, DIC and R. Mhonlumi Yanthan, Vice Principal, GHSS, Peren. CMO, Dr. Meren gave a PowerPoint presentation on District Health Unit under Peren district, where he mentioned that there is only one district hospital, one CHC, 8 PHCs and 16 sub-centres in the district. District Hospital Peren is 50-bedded with around 3307 OPD cases reported during the last 6 months (April to September). Sericulture and Horticulture presented their departmental activities, while the department of PHE, DIC and Soil were asked to present their department activities in the next meeting. The DC also reminded that a satellite tagged Amur falcon named ‘Intangki’ was released by the Chief Minister of Nagaland, T.R Zeliang on November 4 at Beisumpuikam. In this regard, he urged the board members to sensitize the public about its importance and preservation so as to ensure its safe return from Siberia.
