More condolences pour in for Bendangtoshi Longkumer

Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland and others today mourned the demise of Bendangtoshi Longkumer, Managing Director, NIDC & OSD, Industries & Commerce on November 7 in New Delhi.  

Governor: In a condolence message addressed to the wife of the deceased, Monalisa Changkija, Nagaland Page Editor, Governor PB Acharya expressed grief. Acharya said Bendangtoshi served the Government with dedication and his immense contribution as a fair and efficient bureaucrat will ever be cherished by the people of the State. “His demise is a great loss to the people of Nagaland,” he added. The Governor conveyed condolences to all the family members of the deceased.  

K Therie: NPCC president, K Therie in a condolence message expressed shock and sadness. “Being a sincere, dedicated and efficient officer, Late Bendang has contributed immensely to the development of the state and to the uplift of society. It is indeed sad that God chose to call him home when he had so much more to contribute to not only his department but also to the state and society,” he stated. Therie along with all rank and file of the NPCC conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.  

Tovihoto Ayemi: Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Tovihoto Ayemi described Bendangtoshi as “very strong yet humble person, always focused and determined in his duties.” He was a leader and a mentor to many of his colleagues and all those around him, Tovihoto said while expressing shock and sadness over the demise. “He was a huge asset to the Govt. of Nagaland,” he added.  

DIPR: The Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Nagaland has also grieved the demise of Bendangtoshi. Remembering the deceased as a dedicated and efficient Government officer, it prayed for solace and comfort of the family members.  

ANIEF: All Nagaland Industrial Entrepreneurs Federation (ANIEF) expressed sorrow at the sudden passing away of Bendangtoshi, who it said, was an upright and dedicated officer. “His performance during his last assignment as OSD to the State Department of Industries & Commerce was commendable. In his demise, the people of Nagaland have lost a great soul and the vacuum created by his death shall be difficult to fill,” it added. ANIEF offered condolences to all his near and dear ones and prayed that God grant them solace and strength.  

Industries and Commerce: The officers and staff of Department of Industries and Commerce, Nagaland also expressed shock and sadness over the officer’s demise. “His presence in the administrative department of the Industries and Commerce was really remarkable. He acted as bridge between the department of Industries & commerce and the Government, making it easy…for implementation of department related schemes and projects being announced by the Ministries,” stated a message from I Bendangliba, Director of Industries and Commerce. Acknowledging that his demise has created a vacuum for the department, the department prayed that God showers his grace and solace upon the bereaved family.  

NI&CGOA: With utter shock and sorrow, Nagaland Industries & Commerce Gazetted Officers’ Association (NI&CGOA) conveyed condolences. It recollected that the fraternity fondly called the deceased “Sir Ben”, whose contribution to the department as well as the society is enormous. “We found him humble, cheerful disposition energetic and down to earth in his approach to all. His dedicated works and deeds shall be imprinted in book of our department’s history,” NI&CGOA stated. The Association prayed that God grant solace and strength to his loved ones.
