Dimapur, January 29 (MExN): More individuals and organizations on Monday extended condolences at the demise of Penmi Phazang Kikon who passed away on Sunday evening in Dimapur.
PB Acharya: Nagaland Governor PB Acharya expressed shock and grief at the sudden demise. In a condolence message, Governor Acharya remembered late Penmi as a loving, caring and understanding person. “She was a guiding pillar and great support to you,” the message addressed to Mmhonlumo Kikon added. Acharya conveyed his heartfelt condolences to all members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to grant strength and solace to overcome the grief.
Tovihoto Ayemi: Advisor for Irrigation & Flood Control and SIRD Tovihoto Ayemi mourned the passing away of Penmi Phazang. In a message, Ayemi stated that he had received the news of the untimely demise with “deep shock and utter disbelief”.
“In her passing, we have lost a wonderful being, gentle soul and a woman of distinguished humanity,” Ayemi stated before adding, “Even as people depart from this earth, yet they never truly leave for they still live on in human hearts.”
“Words may not suffice to express the sadness that I feel for your loss but I pray to Almighty God to grant you comfort and provide strength to tide over the loss. I offer my deepest sympathies to you and your family. May God rest her soul in eternal peace and guide her on her journey to our Creator,” the message read.
Achumbemo Kikon: Spokesperson of the Naga People’s Front Achumbemo Kikon referred to late Penmi as “my sister-in-law” and expressed grief over her untimely demise. “I convey my heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and pray that our God the Almighty will give them strength at this hour of sorrow,” Achumbemo’s message read.
Tetso College Community: The Tetso College Community extended heartfelt prayers and condolences to the family of late Penmi. “We continue to pray that God’s strength, peace and comfort may be with the whole family, especially their two little daughters to help them remain strong at this time. May her soul rest in peace,” a message from the college’s community read. The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Nagaland State BJMM and the State BJYM, JD (U) Nagaland, Lok Janshakti Party Nagaland, Nagaland State Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and the NPF Minority Wing also extended condolences.
