Mokokchung, May 19 (DIPR): Training for polling official is under way at Mokokchung for the ensuing Nagaland Parliamentary bye-election 2018. In the district a total of 1920 polling officials will be covering 226 polling stations where a total number of 1,36,883 no. of registered voters will franchise their votes.
DC and DEO Peren informs
DC and DEO, Smita Sarangi has informed that payment for hiring of Vehicles used during last Assembly Election 2018 for Peren District is to be released from May 19 to May 22 from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm at Cashier room, DC office (New DC Complex).Therefore, all concern have been informed to come with requisition order and other necessary documents to collect payment.
ADC & DEO Pughoboto Informs
The ADC & DEO, Pughoboto, Avelu Ruho has notified that Second Randomization and Candidate Setting of EVMs (CU&BU) and VVPATs to be used during the Bye Election will be conducted on May 21 and 22 , 10:00 am onwards. The process will be carried out by EVM Engineers under the overall supervision of the District Election Officer, Pughoboto. All recognized political parties have been informed to send representatives to be present for the randomization process on both the days.
Randomisation and candidate setting of EVMS at Pughoboto
EAC & EVM Nodal Officer, Pughoboto, Nuhuta Tunyi has informed all the recognised Political Parties that Second Randomization and Candidate Setting of EVMs (CU&BU) and VVPATs to be used during the Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency to Lok Sabha, 2018 under Pughoboto Assembly segment will be conducted on May 21 and 22.The process will be carried out by EVM Engineers under the overall supervision of the DEO, Pughoboto. Hence all recognised political parties have been informed to send representatives to be present for randomization process on both days. The process will start from 10.AM on May 21.
Tuensang District Election activities updates
1st Randomization of EVM & VVPATs was conducted on May 18 at DC Conference Hall Tuensang in connection with bye- Election Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency 2018. In view of the forthcoming Bye- election to the Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency 2018, a medical board was constituted a three members committee headed by Chief Medical Officer, Tuensang. The committee had a seating for the exemption from the election duty on the health ground. 1st Randomization of the Polling Personal for group formation is scheduled for 20th May 2018 at National Information Center (NIC), Tuensang.
DC & ARO Kiphire informs
In view of the Bye-election Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency, 2018 and to ensure the smooth function of Deputy Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer Kiphire the Mobile Number 9383391627 shall be accessed for Control room. The DC & ARO, Kiphire, Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS has notified that this order shall come into immediate effect and shall stand till election process is over.
Payment of vehicles hiring
EAC Wokha, Imliakum Sanglir has informed that all vehicle owners/drivers who were requisitioned for Election duty during 13th Nagaland Assembly Election 2018 that vehicle hiring/halting payment will commence with effect from May 19- 21 in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Wokha during office hour. Therefore, all the concerned have been directed to bring the requisition form in original and collect the payment on the stipulated dates without fail. Further, after the expiry of the given dates no request will be entertained.
DC & DEO Phek informs on arms license deposit
DC & DEO, Phek, Shanavas C, IAS in a notification informed that in view of the forthcoming Bye-Election to Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency 2018, all Arms License holders under Phek District have been directed to deposit their Arms License with Arms at the nearest Police Stations as per the address given in the Licence on or before May 22. Failure to deposit the Licence with Arms within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of License(s) as per appropriate section of Law.
