More NSCN (IM) leaders join Muivah in Delhi

The NSCN (IM) general secretary, Th Muivah has been joined by more leaders of the group in New Delhi, according to reports.

Sources informed The Morung Express that a 15-member delegation led by NSCN (IM) Chairman Q Tuccu and Vice President Tongmeth Wangnao left for Delhi on September 14 to join negotiations with the Centre.

While Muivah has been camping and holding informal talks with Intelligence Bureau representatives led by its director Arvind Kumar on a daily basis, the status of the final settlement is yet to be ascertained.

The series of informal talks over the past month are reported to be wrapped up soon, and will likely be followed by resumption of formal talks.

On being queried about the leaders’ return to Nagaland, the sources said that the talks are ongoing and as such, comments on the same cannot be made at present.
