53rd Ura Academy Seminar underway in Kohima

The 53rd Ura Academy Seminar under the theme 'Mother tongue: The power of our thought' commenced today at Ura Academy Hall, Kohima.
The guest speaker- Timikha Koza, President, Tenyimi People's Organisation, expressed concern over the diminishing culture of honesty and truthfulness in the society and called upon the Tenyimia community to revive and upkeep the age old tradition.
Later, he released Neizütso Mekrisuh’s Fifth book in Tenyidie, entitled “Kedakelie Kelhou A Vie.”
Deo Nukhu, member, Board of Director member, Ura Academy, stated that tradition and culture should be revived, such as skill based activities for sustenance.
The programme was chaired by Daso Paphino, Vice President Ura Academy. Invocation was pronounced by Rev. Tsolie Chase pastor, Baptist Church Khonoma.
Welcome address was delivered by Vitshulieü Sekhose, Board of Director member, Ura Academy.
Union Baptist Church choir, Gospel singer Ato Nienu and Lidi Kro-u presented special songs.
Benediction was pronounced by Rev Khrotso Mero, Board of Director member, Ura Academy.
On May 25, an orientation programme of Tenyidie teachers will be held from 9:30 am onwards.
The Directorate of school education has directed all Tenyidie teachers to attend the program positively.
Ura Academy invites all well-wishers, Tenyimia people, leaders, organizations, church leaders to attend the programme.
