Nagaland School Education Advisor Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome inaugurated the North Block Council Hall at Kezieke, Kohima on June 20. 

This Community Building cum Panchayat Hall was constructed by Kohima Smart City Development Ltd under Smart City Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India.

This became the 7th community buildings after Daklane, D. Block, Kitsubozou, New Market, Midland and Naga Bazaar wards under Smart City Mission.

North Block ward cover four colonies- Kezieke, Mission Compound, Pezielietsie and Kenuozou.

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Dr. Yhome expressed happiness over the inauguration of the North Block Council Hall for the welfare of the community.

Dr. Yhome assured that as elected representative of 10th Northern Angami-1 A/C, he would extend some developmental projects under Local Area Development Programme (LADP).

 

In this, he called upon the community to come forward with suitable projects as per the requirements of the people.

Also speaking on the occasion, Ruokuovolie Rutsa, KMC Councillor, North Block III expressed happiness over owning the Council Hall and called upon the community to effectively utilize the facility.

He also called upon the community to honour and strictly adhere to whatever decision taken from this North Block Council Hall for the welfare and progress of the ward.

Thejao Sekhose, Chairman, Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Council also addressed the gathering.

Pastor Cassius Solo, BRC Keyake invoked God’s blessings. S. Daniel (Mission Compound), Neiezetuonuo Bernadette (Kezieke) and Ania Nekha (Kenuozou) presented special numbers.

The programme was chaired by Thejaselie Jabou Sekhose, Chairman North Block Council while vote of thanks was proposed by  Tseilievinuo Sale, Vice Chairman, Kezieke Welfare Board.
