‘Seekers group’ presenting a special number in honor of mothers at CBCK on May 12.

Nagaland along with the rest of the world today celebrated Mothers’ Day and honored mothers in a befitting manner for their care, affection, love, sacrifice and invaluable contributions. In the state capital, the respective churches organized special programmes for mothers to mark the occasion.
Songs, messages, prayer and gift were presented to mothers to mark the celebration at the Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima held at the church premises. In the morning worship service, Vezacilii Sakhrie talked on “Effective mothering in a defective world.”
She called upon the mothers to give quality time to their children and at the same time to extend constant encouragement to their children who are excelling in the different fields and push them forward for perfection.
She also challenged the mothers to maintain dignity and self esteem while making all efforts for the well being of their children. Setsiilii Tetseo led the morning service while Rev. Khrotso Mero pronounced the pastoral prayer.
Later, Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh spoke on the topic “Mother after God’s own heart” at the evening worship service. The service was led by Tsone Shijoh. It may be noted that an umbrella was given to all mothers present as a gift.
