
Kohima, December 7 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland and Nagaland University, facilitated by the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the Centre of Excellence for Foreign Languages (CoEFL) in Nagaland December 5. The primary objective of CoEFL is to promote foreign language learning and the Centre will will offer comprehensive language programmes encompassing Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German and Arabic among others, a DIPR report stated.
The curriculum will also cover culture, work ethics, business practices and life skills. The plan of Action entails the establishment of CoEFL, providing a 3 month certificate course for the first year and subsequently CoEFL will apply for accreditation from the University Grants Commission (UGC) to incorporate degree courses as a formal field of study with extended PhD facilities, it added.
