Mon, July 30 (MExN): Due to COVID-19 positive cases detected among the frontliner in Phomching Town, the Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has prohibited movement of public within 1 (one) Km radius of the Phomching Town. The DC stated that the order has been issued as a part of required precautionary steps to mitigate the possible spread of COVD-19 for public health, public safety and public order and in the interest of public health, public safety and public order in Phomching Town and in the exercise of the powers conferred upon section 144 of the criminal procedure code 1973. While informing that the order would come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further order, the DC stated that any one violating the foresaid order will be liable for punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
