MP Jamir urges BSNL TAC to strengthen telecom services

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 13 (MExN): Member of Parliament (MP) for Lok Sabha, S Supongmeren Jamir, attended the first meeting of the newly constituted Telecom Advisory Committee (TAC) for the 2024-2026 term. The meeting was held at the BSNL State Branch Office in Dimapur, under the Nagaland Business Area (BA) of BSNL.

The meeting was also attended by Masharib Gul Mufti ITS, General Manager of Nagaland BA, BSNL; Y. Zarenthung Kikon, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Nagaland BA, BSNL; as well as other TAC members and senior BSNL officials.

According to a press statement from the NPCC Communications Department, MP Jamir emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the committee members and BSNL staff to achieve the common goal of providing reliable, robust, and affordable telecom connectivity to the people of Nagaland. He encouraged the committee to offer valuable insights and support the efforts of the public sector undertaking.
Mufti, the GM of Nagaland BA, also addressed the meeting, highlighting BSNL’s achievements in the state despite various challenges. He outlined the organization’s action plan for the future, aiming to improve telecom infrastructure and services.

The meeting involved extensive discussions on several key issues related to telecom services, leading to the adoption of various resolutions to address these challenges and improve connectivity in the state.
