Kohima, May 1 (MExN): Medical XI today thrashed Morung United 5-1 in their Morning Premier League encounter at Seikhazou Ground, Kohima. A brace from Neiphre and a goal each from Kenei, Vinyu and Kekhrie sealed three points as Medical XI climbed to second of the league table with 19 points. Lithung scored the consolation goal for Morung United. Neiphre scored in the 17th minute after receiving a pass from Kekhrie. Kenei then doubled the lead in the 31st minute and Vinyu made it 3-0 seven minutes later to end the first half. Neiphre then grabbed his second in the 57th minute before Lithung cut the deficit scoring in the 72nd minute. Neiphre then turned provider for Kekhrie as the latter scored in the 79 minute to complete the rout.
