MR Co-ordination Cell rescues one at Pathsala station

Guwahati, December 20 (MExN): The MR Co-ordination Cell (MRCC) under the Ministry of Railways rescued a man about aged about 65 years from Pathsala Railway station under Rangiya Division of Northeast Frointer Railway (NFR).

According to a press release from NFR CPRO, the “mentally retarded old man” was rescued on the basis of information received from a family member.

The MRCC quickly came into action and efforts and after getting requisite details and photograph of the old man, it came into light that the old man boarded a train at Sealdah Station on December 18, it said. 

“But he suddenly de-boarded at Kokrajhar station. Later, with the help of Railway Protection Force (RPF) the old man boarded in Lumding Intercity Express but again he got de-boarded at Pathsala Railway station,” it said. 

On getting information, MRCC directed RPF officials to search for the old man at Pathsala station.

Under the close monitoring of MRCC and with the help of RPF man was traced and rescued and later handed over to family member, it added. 

The main objective of MRCC under the Ministry of Railways is dealing with and coordinating all the complaints, representations and grievances received by the Railway Minister, the release further informed.
