MSME training for women entrepreneurs in Nagaland

Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): Women Entrepreneur Network Nagaland (WENN) organized MSME training for women entrepreneurs in Nagaland under National SC-ST Hub support scheme, in partnership with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) on September 20. 

NATIONAL SC-ST HUB (NSSH) has been set up to provide professional support to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Entrepreneurs. NSSH is being implemented by the NSIC, a public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of MSME, stated a press release received here. 

During the training, NSSH Guwahati, Branch Manager, Peter Thawngneihchina explained the importance of MSME in particular for Northeast region, and the process of registration through udyam portal. He also highlighted various schemes and subsidies available under the ministry of MSME such as Capacity building schemes, special Marketing Assistance, certification, Special credit link capital subsidy on bank loans.

It was followed by an interactive session with the participants getting their queries addressed. Furthermore, on spot MSME registration was facilitated to the participants by WENN.

WENN was formed with the vision to empower women to create an ecosystem in Nagaland by empowering women through networking and training, to give fellow entrepreneurs access to information and to foster visibility. WENN was launched in April 2022, by GIZ India’s Project Her&Now, with Dhriiti-The Courage Within.

WENN intends to conduct such need-based trainings and programs to foster an ecosystem of growth for women entrepreneurs in Nagaland, the release stated.
