Mt Tiyi College conducts faculty development prog

Wokha, September 30 (MExN): A one day faculty development programme on Innovative Teaching Methods and ICT in Teaching-Learning Process was organised by IQAC, Mount Tiyi College on September 26. The resource persons were Dr. Bendangyapangla, Asst. Prof., SCTE, Kohima and Sourav Hazarika, Asst. Prof., SET, NU Dimapur, informed a press release received here.  

In the first session, resource person, Dr. Bendangyapangla gave a presentation on ‘Innovative Teaching Practices.’ While highlighting the major factors that affect learners, the resource person offered different innovative practices that are both teachers and students’ controlled. The session was moderated by Sentimenla Jamir, HoD, Department of Education.  

The second session was on ‘ICT in Teaching-Learning Process’ and was taken up by Sourav Hazarika and moderated by Dr. KZ Ovung, HoD, Department of Economics. The resource person discussed the various uses of ICT in classrooms and how to incorporate it in developing modern pedagogy. The sessions were followed by house discussions.  

The programme came to an end with distribution of certificates by Meripeni Ngully, Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator, MTC.
