A three-day spiritual training programme for Mokokchung Town Baptist Church Children Education Department (CED) teachers got underway on February 3 at MTBA Conference hall, Mokokchung. Rev Tiyong, Missionary, was the resource person for the programme which is being held under the theme “Tsungrem nem tajungtiba agutsudi (Let us give our best to God).”
The programme is attended by CED teachers from 10 fellowships under MTBA including United Christian Fellowship. On the first day of the spiritual programme and introductory session was taken after which Rev Tiyong preached about how God created everyone as good persons naturally and that if a person accepts and believes that one is good, then all his intentions and thoughts would be good.
He also said that God does not call the qualified; he qualifies the called and as such, encouraged the CED teachers to serve with good intentions and a good heart and not to conform with certain standards of the world, lest God’s blessings be snatched away. He concluded by saying that God has called everyone to serve and teach the children for God knows the plans he has for them.
The three day spiritual programme will culminate on February 5.
