MTBA dedicates Impur Bible Seminary Boys' hostel

Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo (MTBA) dedicated the Impur Bible Seminary Boys' Hostel on July 20 at Impur, Mokokchung with the unveiling of the cornerstone by Rev. Prof. Mar Pongener, ABAM Executive Secretary. 

The boy’s hostel was built by the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church in commemoration of the ABAM sesquicentennial celebration of 150 years of Christianity to the Aos, informed Rev Ponen Longchar, Senior Pastor, MTBA.

During a brief dedicatory program, Imtilemla, Principal, Impur Bible Seminary, while reminiscing about the condition of the old boy’s hostel, said that the history of Impur Bible Seminary is incomplete without mentioning the Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo and expressed her gratitude on behalf of the students to the church.

Rev Prof Mar Pongener, ABAM, Executive Secretary, said in his speech, "This is the extent a church can go to glorify God,” appreciating the effort of the MTBA. He acknowledged the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church and mentioned that God has guided everyone and everything thus far. He also mentioned that many miracles and blessings have been witnessed during the construction of the building.

Imchatiba, Convenor, Construction committee, gave the Construction committee report where he stated that the construction of the building began on January 2, 2023 and was completed on June 29, 2023. The total construction cost was Rs 7,75,400, inclusive of 35 bunk beds, inverters, fans, curtains, 100 chairs and lecterns. The construction was headed by a committee of six members.

The senior pastor of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church handed over the documents as a sign of handing over the building to the ABAM Executive Secretary.
